Contemporary Pop performed to backing track
Backing Track must be provided on a phone / tablet or CD and must be instrumental only with no additional singing. A sound system will be provided. You will be expected to sing without a microphone. Your song must be appropriate for a mixed aged audience. This category is not suitable for rap or heavy metal style genres

Standards for entry for Piano and Instrumental classes

 

  • Early Beginners

    • Not yet playing hands together except for last chord (class P1)

  • Preparatory

    • Of Prep Test standard or moving toward this grade. (class P2)

  • Beginners

    • Grades I and below

  • Elementary

    • Grades II and III

  • Intermediate

    • Grades IV and V

  • Advanced

    • Grade VI and VII

  • Diploma                    

    •  Grade VIII and above
